Hey there! I’m Emma—Sugarista, Educator, and Founder of Green & Gold Sugar. Learning to Sugar was a total game-changer for me. It set my business apart, built an incredibly loyal client base, and let’s be real—once someone experiences Sugaring, they’re hooked! As a practitioner, mastering the technique is like an art form, and trust me, it’s addictive.
I started Sugaring in 2017 after hitting a wall as a waxer. One of my clients reacted to every wax I tried on her legs—sensitive skin, hypoallergenic, you name it, nothing worked. She was ready to give up and go back to shaving, but I knew there had to be a better way. Enter: late-night Googling, and BAM—I discovered Sugaring.
Honestly, I owe that client everything because without her, I might never have found it!
Back then, there weren’t many training options, but one name stood out—Stephanie King of London Sugaring Company. We had one call, and her passion for Sugaring was so contagious that within weeks (and in the middle of my busiest month in the salon, no less), I was in. No regrets!
My clients fell in love with Sugaring instantly—less discomfort, smoother skin, and slower regrowth. And trust me, I could geek out all day about why Sugaring is superior…but I’ll save that for another post. 😉
By May 2019, I was teaching for Tamara’s UK, and that’s when I really saw the magic of Sugaring unfold. It wasn’t just about getting it into more salons—it was about empowering women (and some men!) with a flexible, fulfilling, and profitable career. Seeing people run with it and build their own success? That’s what lights me up!
Fast forward to 2023, and I knew there was more that could be done for Sugaring in the UK & Northern Ireland. I wanted a brand that delivered top-quality products, incredible community support for therapists, and let’s be honest—something that looked bold, fresh, and totally Instagrammable.
Since I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I went down the rabbit hole of creating it myself!
